Nevada OSHA Increases Penalties for Workplace Violations

New OSHA penalty amounts became effective on January 17, 2023. OSHA’s maximum penalties for serious and other-than-serious violations will increase from $14,502 per violation to $15,625 per violation. The maximum penalty for willful or repeated violations will increase from $145,027 per violation to $156,259 per violation.

In partnership with the National Football League, the Las Vegas Super Bowl LVIII Host Committee has launched open registration for the Super Bowl LVIII Business Connect Program. The NFL is looking for a wide range of sub-contractors and vendors that are: experienced, provide excellent service, event-ready, 51% or more “diverse-owned”, have established offices, and are a direct source for their goods/services.

Governor Lombardo Orders Freeze on New

Governor Joe Lombardo recently signed two executive orders aimed at reducing the state’s regulatory burdens. One order requires all executive branches to decrease the number of existing state regulations, while another prevents licensing boards from creating new regulations.  For more information take a look at Executive Order 2023-003 and Executive Order 2023-004.
