Asian Chamber Ad 2022
CNY commemoration
asian community staying vigilant

Established in 1986, The Asian Chamber of Commerce (ACC), formerly known as the Pacific and Asian Chamber of Commerce of Nevada was formed to serve and represent the professional and business interests of Nevada’s growing Asian Pacific Americans. ACC, a non-profit corporation, was founded with the primary goal of economic growth for its membership. Our goal is to become a major forum and significant economic force in bringing about political, social, and economic party for Nevada’s Asian Pacific American community. The ACC is a conduit of business opportunities and a broker of information and resources for Asian-Pacific American entrepreneurs. Membership is open to any business or individual subscribing to our goals and objectives.

Jessica Goodey

1. How long have you been a member of the Asian Chamber of Commerce?
I am a new member of the Asian Chamber as of early 2022.

2. Why did you join the Asian Chamber of Commerce? Any expectations?
I joined the Chamber to meet likeminded small business owners. I believe in the power of a strong network and supporting the community with membership. Together we can do more and go far. My expectation is that I will meet great people.

3. What committee do you currently volunteer with?
Currently I do not belong to any specific committee. I am looking forward to learning more as I meet members.

4. What is your current occupation?

I am an attorney and owner of Goodey Injury Law.

5. What do you do at [Company] and what circumstances would I come to you for something?
I am a personal injury attorney. You would come to me if you we injured in an accident and needed help. I fight for justice on your behalf so you can simply focus on you and getting better.

6. What let you to this career?
My ability to argue and win coupled with my drive for justice. I am a fighter. Fighting for those who cannot fight for themselves is one way I make a difference in this world.

7.What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
I am an avid baker. I love baking and sharing my sweet creations with others.

8.What is your favorite sport to watch and which team do you root for?
I love most sports, but the best team is St. Louis Cardinals!!

9 .What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?
Hopefully sleeping in or baking! But you will currently find me campaigning as I am running for Judge in the Las Vegas Justice Court Department 6 race. I still manage to attend my 16-year old son’s sports events, my 4-year old “niece’s” basketball practice and church on Sunday with my husband & son.

10. If you could choose a superpower, what would it be? Why?
If I could chose a super power, it would be to FLY. Before the pandemic, I was fulfilling that dream (in a way) as I was working on earning my pilot’s license.

11. What is your favorite place to eat around here?
Vintner Grill (my neighborhood spot).

12. What is your favorite Asian Restaurant in Las Vegas?
Hard to choose! Pho Rose and Le Thai are TWO favorites.

13. What is your favorite TV show or movie?
I am currently catching up on the newest Bridgeton season in the small amounts of down time between running my Law Practice and campaigning.

ConveneNV 2022: Building on Our Sustainability Momentum
May 19 @ 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm

ConvenneNV2022 flyer

Announcing the return of ImpactNV’s annual sustainability summit, ConveneNV! We have always strived to be comprehensive in our programming by including environmental, social, and economic information, resources, and discussions and to communicate to our audience the breadth and depth of sustainability topics, how they all intersect, and how caring about one necessitates caring about them all because each issue is deeply complex and intimately intertwined with every other issue just as our state’s success is dependent on the ability of our residents to thrive.

We are in an unprecedented time of war, human caused climate change, a health crisis that has become an economic crisis, drought, wildfires, flooding, storms, political division, racial reckoning, and so many other reasons to despair. And yet, every challenge is an opportunity. An opportunity for a call to action to truly come together and create change. An opportunity for innovation, evolution, and optimism about our collective resilience so far and how we can all build upon that momentum in 2022 and beyond.

We are honored to have Senator Chris Brooks as our Master of Cermonies for ConveneNV 2022, “Building on Our Sustainability Momentum” to help us convene social, economic, and environmental sustainability leaders via three panels for a compelling conversation that recognizes Nevada’s leadership thus far and outlines a path forward for continuing our momentum to address the local, national, and global health, climate, energy, economic, and social imperatives facing us all.

We will announce our full speaker lineup and program details in the coming weeks and look forward to seeing you there!

The family may run together or separately. However, at check-in after the race, winning hands can only be paid out to the hand purchaser. If an individual wants to run alone but desires to purchase two or more hands, he or she will play those hands separately. That is, he or she will draw one card at each station for each hand.
