LAS VEGAS – May 18, 2022 – DISCOVERY Children’s Museumwelcomes Caitlin Shea as the new vice president of development as ofMay 9, 2022. Shea returns to DISCOVERY after caregiving for her mother who battled pancreatic cancer for a year and a half.
“We are thrilled to have Caitlin Shea rejoin the Museum team as the new VP of Development,” says Melissa D. Kaiser, CEO of DISCOVERY Children’s Museum. “Shea’s extensive background in fundraising and deep roots in Southern Nevada will have a tremendous impact on the Museum. We look forward to the many opportunities she will bring to the Museum.”
Shea is a native of Las Vegas, and has more than 12 years of professional fundraising experience in the local community. Before rejoining the DISCOVERY team, Shea served in executive roles with Coordinated Living of Southern Nevada, Junior Achievement, HomeAid Southern Nevada and Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. Throughout her career, she has been honored to serve the community in a variety of ways, and as a DISCOVERY kid herself, can’t wait to bring a lifelong love of learning to every child in Southern Nevada.

Celebrating more than 30 years as a non-profit, DISCOVERY Children’s Museum is the top interactive Museum in Southern Nevada, welcoming all children and families to explore three complete floors filled with heart-pumping, brain-boosting, curiosity-satisfying fun, adventure, and DISCOVERY.
