Director

Born in La Habana, Cuba, Ana came to the United States during Castro's regime. She was separated from her parents and grandparents at an early age. After giving up their home, personal possessions, retail businesses, restaurant and a resort hotel in Varadero to the Cuban government her father, mother and grandfather were able to leave Cuba. "The loss of all possessions was a sacrifice my parents had to make in exchange for their freedom and being reunited with the family," said Ana.
Making a home in upstate New York was not an easy road for the family, as we had to face challenging obstacles, adapt to new surroundings, a different language and cold winter months. Raised by parents of both Chinese and Spanish ethnicity, Ana is very proud of her diversity and cultural background. She earned her Bachelors of Arts from The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C.
Her professional career spans more than 30 years in the field of Customer Service. Ana's diverse professional background includes teaching English, adult basic education courses such as Skills Qualification training to the military in Fulda, Germany as well as working with children with disabilities and teaching Spanish at Killeen High School, Texas.
