On behalf of our board of directors, business members and volunteers of the Las Vegas Asian Chamber of Commerce – We are devastated by the news of the wildfires on the island of Maui, Hawaii. The damage is unfathomable, it has taken the lives of innocent people and displaced families. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this tragic disaster.
Homes and businesses have been reduced to ashes, valuable possessions have been lost, and the impacted communities are left struggling with a lack of resources. Las Vegas is often referred to as the ninth island of Hawaii due to the strong cultural connections between us. We stand in solidarity with the people of Maui during this difficult time. We extend our support, encouraging our community to stand with Maui to assist them in the recovery efforts. It is crucial that we come together as a community to provide aid and resources to those who have been affected. We must offer them continued comfort and hope for a brighter future ahead.
We urge everyone to contribute in any way possible, whether it be through donations, or providing emotional support to the victims. Together, we can help rebuild lives and restore hope in the face of adversity.
Respectfully,
Raja Mourey, MBA
