UPDATED INFORMATION Mobile Home Fire Results In Fatality

On Friday, July 5, 2024, at 5:01 p.m., Las Vegas Fire & Rescue (LVFR) received reports of a structure fire at a mobile home at 3700 Stewart Ave. 

Upon arrival, LVFR crews assessed the situation and quickly extracted a victim from the structure. The victim, an approximately 60-year-old female, was transported to University Medical Center in critical condition. The victim passed away on Sunday, July 7.

The fire remains under investigation by Las Vegas Fire & Rescue. 

Saturday’s fire was contained and extinguished by crews from LVFR, Clark County Fire Department and North Las Vegas Fire Department. Fifteen units responded to this incident: EMS1, AR1, B3, R108, E201, E4, B1, R8, E61, E108, T8, E8, R8, E51, and R51.

LVFR reminds residents that working smoke alarms save lives. The department offers free smoke alarms to residents of the city of Las Vegas. To schedule an appointment, please call 702.229.0366. On average, appointments take less than one hour, yet increase the survivability rates by 50 percent.
