Vegas PBS STEAM Camp Season 3 Premieres on Monday, June 6
**WATCH PREVIEW**
New episodes feature science exploration with Republic Services and the Vegas Golden Knights.
LAS VEGAS, NV — Vegas PBS’ original series Vegas PBS STEAM Camp is back with all new episodes, premiering on Monday, June 6, at 2 p.m. on Channel 10.
Designed to support the educational needs of children in elementary school, Vegas PBS STEAM Camp brings the fun and discovery associated with camp directly into viewers’ homes. The first season of this program premiered in the summer of 2020, to help support at-home learning for students during the summer months. Now in its third season, this Emmy Award-winning series continues to engage audiences through at-home STEAM challenges and science exploration in the community.
“We are incredibly excited to share all the content we have put together for our viewers in season three,” said Jessica Russell, Vegas PBS’ Ready To Learn Coordinator and host of Vegas PBS STEAM Camp. “It brings us joy to be able to connect science concepts with real-world applications for children and help boost summer learning for all.”
In season three, the series will feature interviews with representatives from the Vegas Golden Knights who explain the science behind hockey, and learn about how recyclables are sorted at a recycling center and how trash is managed at a landfill from Republic Services. Each episode includes a segment with the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District and an investigation activity related to the research question that children can conduct at home. Families and caretakers are encouraged to submit videos of their children performing at-home science investigations to the Vegas PBS website at vegaspbs.org/steamcamp.
