(Report from LVCNN newspaper) The Las Vegas Asian Chamber of Commerce Foundation (ACC Foundation) held the 23rd Annual Asian Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Luncheon at the Gold Coast Casino at noon on May 27. Sponsored by Boyd Gaming Group, Asian Chamber of Commerce ACC Golf Tour, Nevada Power Company, Jinsha Group, MGM Group, JP Morgan and other companies, each student will be rewarded with USD 2000. In order to commemorate Asian American students, who have high academic achievements and desire to pursue university education, and in recognition of the Asian community, continue to work hard to promote ethnic and cultural identity.
Personal views expressed by guest speaker Kerry Bubolz, president of the Vegas Golden Cavaliers:
1. Focus on positive things and don’t focus on negative things.
2. Parents should be proud of the leadership that your children have.
3. Keep smiling and look for reasons to smile.
4. We hire talents not because of his academic qualifications, but because of his talents.
5. Take your energy and do the right thing every day.
6. Community building is very important. Be the leader of the community.

Questions: 1. The Golden Knights are about reconciling issues between races, such as “black life is expensive” and “stop Asian hatred” Question, what can you do?
A: We all have different backgrounds. Our leadership is also from a diverse ethnic group. We have a long way to go, but we will stick to it.
Question: 2. How do you find the balance between life and work?
Answer: Find a career that can infuse your passion, not just find a job. It is also very important to meet qualified mentors.
Question: 3. The secret of your success?
Answer: I believe it is persistence. There are good times and bad days in life. Smile and persevere.
Ms. Tya Mathis-Coleman of the Nevada Department of Finance said at the meeting: We must ensure that every Nevada has the opportunity to receive higher education.
Clark County School District Director Dr Jesus F. Jara said: “I love my job very much. I am still attending the children’s high school graduation ceremony this morning. Thank you all for coming and celebrating their achievements for our outstanding children.”
The award-winning students include: Charlize Chen, Moonis Ghani, Kaylee Hoo, Vihaan Jain, Chloe Kim, Jericha Lloren, Kylie Mao, Thucnhu Nguyen, Jaiden Reddy, Nicolas Xie. Student representatives also came to the stage to express their thoughts and thank their families and teachers for their comments. With their dedication, they will better serve the community.
