A Message from the Secretary of State Elections Division
The 2020 primary election on June 9th will be a vote-by-mail election. The decision to conduct a vote-by-mail election was made in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
A vote-by-mail election is a significant change from how we usually conduct elections in Nevada, and we anticipate many voters will have questions about how the vote-by-mail process works. For this reason, the SOS Elections Division has created a website dedicated specifically to providing information about the 2020 primary election. The website is www.mailitinnevada.com. For the health and safety of all Nevadans, we are encouraging all voters to Mail It In!
Please take a look at the website in order to familiarize yourself with how the primary election will work and to make sure you don’t miss any deadlines. Also, please share the website with family, friends, neighbors, and anybody you think would benefit from learning more about the vote-by-mail primary election.
Ballots are currently on their way to voters, and some of you may have already received your ballot in the mail. You must be a registered voter in order to have a mail ballot sent to you for the primary election. If you are not currently registered to vote, or if you need to update your voter registration information, it is not too late. Go to www.RegisterToVoteNV.gov and get registered today.
Vote safe, vote by mail!
